The Introduction of the Special Issue Journal of Insight Mechanics is an academic, peer-reviewed, open-access and quick publishing journal dedicated to research in all topics of all mechanical engineering branches, i.e. Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics and Manufacturing. By providing a platform for the academic dissemination, Journal of Insight Mechanics is aimed at promoting research results and knowledge in mechanical engineering. Journal of Insight Mechanics is now accepting manuscripts for a special issue on "advances in mechanical, material and structural engineering".
The Research Scope of the Special Issue ·Mechanics of materials (Elasticity, Plasticity, Creep damage, Fracture, Surface treatment) ·New engineering materials ·Fluid mechanics ·Thermodynamics ·Finite Element Analysis ·Robotics and automation ·Mechatronics ·Biomechanics ·Composites and multiphase materials ·optimization
Submission guidelines All papers should be submitted via the Insight - Mechanics submission system: http://insight.piscomed.com/index.php/M Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.
Papers requirements Only original, innovative and novel papers will be considered for publication in the special issue and papers are published after the positive reviews of two reviewers and the approval of the Editorial Board. The special issue accepts manuscripts of three different types: original research papers and review papers. •Original research paper: standard article, usually presenting new results; articles published under this article type may also be referred to as Original Research, Original Article, Original Paper or Research Paper. •Review Paper: Standard article, interpreting previously published results. •Short Communications: Short Communications is a new section dedicated to short papers addressing new ideas, controversial opinions, “Negative”results and much more.
Important Dates Paper Submission Due: August 22 , 2019
The Lead Guest Editor Farshad Abbasi Dr. Farshad Abbasi received his BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), MEng degree from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) and his PhD from the Bu-Ali Sina University at 2017. Since 2013, he has worked on fretting fatigue life estimation in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Bu-Ali Sina University. He has attended several international academic conferences, such as ICONE16, HEFAT2008, HEFAT 2010, ICSAU 2017, etc. He is an author of several publications in the leading world journals, and two books on Fracture Mechanics and MATLAB. His research interests include Fatigue and Fracture of Material, Fretting Fatigue, Corrosion Fatigue, Failure of Materials, Life Estimation, Wear, Metal Additive Manufacturing and Finite Element Analysis. The major aim of his PhD thesis was to understand the fretting fatigue behavior of material under cyclic normal loading which for long time have been conducted, for simplicity, under constant normal load. He suggests a new testing method for fretting fatigue experiments where contact pressure can be independently varied during the test. His investigation suggests how difficult is to interpret "fretting fatigue", and even "crack and notch" analogues which do not consider the tribological effects of wear and the change of contact area, can be oversimplified.
